Those part of WWE’s NXT UK had an internal conference call on Tuesday, according to several sources close to the brand. News of the big meeting was first reported by Dave Meltzer.
PWInsider reports that this meeting was to touch base with everyone after months off from taping content, and following news that Jack Gallagher, Travis Banks, and Ligero had been let go in wake of sexual assault accusations.
Talent were reportedly told to be ready for when events resume, which seemed to be backed up by several talent tweeting out their excitement to return to the ring. While no dates have officially been announced, NXT UK TakeOver: Dublin is still advertised for October 25.
It’s also being reported that referees Chris Roberts and Joel Allen were recently released, while Joe Coffey has been suspended following assault accusations on social media.
