Confirmed Retribution Members, Big WWE Injury Updates, Latest On WWE Star Returning

Do we have an update on members of the Retribution faction?

We are able to confirm WWE has used extras from local independent promotions to fill to the roles of some of the Retribution members. Dominik Dijakovic, Dio Maddin and Mia Yim all worked as members of the faction on this week’s episode of WWE Raw. Dijakovic is rumored to be revealed as one of the faction’s leaders, as plans for the identifying members are coming into form. There is also a possibility WWE taps an already established star as the faction’s leader.

Does Xavier Woods have a return date from his Achilles injury?

When Xavier Woods injured his Achilles last October, the internal timetable for his return was six months to one year. We are just over 10 months in, so he is trending towards the latter end of the timetable. There has been nothing new lately about his return to the ring but he will co-host Talking Smack with Kayla Braxton. Woods was replaced by The Miz in the return episode because he was not at last week’s SmackDown to do the taping. Somewhere there was a communication breakdown as the announcement of Talking Smack with Braxton and Woods was made but no one notified Woods.

What’s the latest on Jimmy Uso following the knee injury he suffered at WrestleMania 36?

Jimmy Uso tore his ACL in the Triple Threat Ladder match for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Titles during Night 1 of WrestleMania 36 earlier this year. The injury obviously required surgery to repair and WWE expects him back towards the beginning of next year. January is a date that is being looking at but that is not confirmed.

Will Wade Barrett’s return to NXT be long-term?

Wade Barrett does not have a new WWE contract as of press time. He returned as a commentator for this week’s episode of NXT and will work next week. His future with WWE after that time remains up in the air.
