Randy Orton has signed a multi-year contract extension with WWE, according to multiple sources and first confirmed by Mike Johnson.
Word of his new contract was a topic of conversation following this week’s Monday Night RAW in Long Island, NY. His re-signing had become a priority of the company and is something they wanted to do before the end of the year.
In 2010, Orton signed a 10-year contract with WWE that was rumored to pay him $3 million annually. That deal was set to expire at some point next year and he was expected to play WWE against AEW.
Orton teased a move to AEW on social media, which predictably got speculation flying. In the end, Orton, 39, will continue his career in WWE where he will be booked as a main event performer.
