WWE

– Following the airing of The Last Ride Episode 4 on the WWE Network, Elias revealed via his Instagram page that he was slated to face The Undertaker at Super ShowDown in June 2019. Plans ended up changing as Undertaker defeated Goldberg in the abysmal main event. Elias has yet to have a one-on-one bout with The Deadman.

– NXT star Tegan Nox was recently a guest on Flash Morgan Webster’s podcast. During the interview, Nox revealed it was all but confirmed that she was supposed to make it to the 2018 Mae Young Classic finals (against Toni Storm) before she suffered an injury in the quarter finals while facing Rhea Ripley.

– During a recent appearance on Chris Jericho’s podcast, former WWE referee Mike Chioda revealed he signed a new contract in March before he was released in April.

– The Miz is set to host a new reality show called Cannonball on the USA Network. The water competition series debuts on Thursday, July 9, at 8pm ET.

– Torrie Wilson’s dog Chloe passed away earlier this week. Chloe appeared alongside Wilson on WWE TV several years ago.

– Renee Young, Charly Caruso, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton, and Samoa Joe competed in WWE’s first spelling bee battle. You can watch the competition here.

– The 6/17 episode of Main Event saw Humberto Carrillo defeat Shane Thorne, while Andrade beat Richochet.

– This 6/19 episode of 205 Live saw Oney Lorcan defeat Chase Parker, while Jake Atlas beat Jack Gallagher. Unfortunately for Atlas, his 205 debut match has seemingly been scrubbed from WWE’s records. There’s no mention, photos, or videos of the match on WWE’s social channels following Jack Gallagher’s release.

– The 6/26 episode of 205 Live will be headlined by Isaiah “Swerve” Scott vs. Tony Nese.

AEW

– The 6/17 rankings have MJF, Nyla Rose, and Best Friends listed in the #1 spot for their respective divisions. Best Friends will challenge Kenny Omega & Hangman Page for the AEW Tag Team Championship at Fyter Fest, but MJF and Rose are not currently in line for title matches despite their rankings.

– The 6/23 episode of Dark will feature nine matches again with the likes of Brian Cage, Jurassic Express, Shawn Spears, Lance Archer, Mel, Orange Cassidy, SCU, and many others in action.

– Former NWA star Ricky Starks was reportedly offered an AEW contract following his debut match against TNT Champion Cody. Abadon was also signed to a contract following the 6/17 episode.

Impact Wrestling

– Impact Wrestling confirmed in their latest post-credit scene that at least one former World Champion will return to the company at Slammiversary on July 18. EC3 is heavily speculated to be coming back after his music was played when Moose defeated Hernandez on the latest episode.

– Madman Fulton aligned with Ace Austin on the 6/16 episode of Impact. This comes after oVe was recently disbanded. Jake Crist has aligned with Joey Ryan’s #CancelCulture, while Sami Callihan is flying solo. There’s no word yet on what’s next for Dave Crist, though there are accusations against circulating on social media currently.

– Rob Van Dam returns to action on the 6/23 edition of Impact alongside #CancelCulture in a six-man tag match against Crazzy Steve and two mystery partners.

Ratings news

– The 6/15 episode of Raw drew an average 1.938 million viewers following Backlash. This was up from the 1.737 the week prior, making it the highest number since the post-WrestleMania 36 episode.

– The 6/17 episode of NXT drew an average 746,00 viewers, which was up from the 673,000 the week before. In comparison, AEW Dynamite drew 772,000 viewers, which was also up from their 677,000. There was only a 26,000 difference between the shows this week with an estimated 1.518 million people watching wrestling on Wednesday night.

– The 6/19 episode of SmackDown drew an overnight average viewing audience of 2.089 million, which was just a tick up from the 2.016 million on 6/12.
