Jim Cornette is suing indie talent Brandon “G-Raver” Graver over a “f*** Jim Cornette” t-shirt design.
The complaint states Cornette is “is a professional wrestling living legend and believed by many to be the world’s leading expert on all matters having in any way to do with the sport of professional wrestling.”
truly #blessed to be one of the few that ordered this beautiful fuck jim cornette shirt pre-corny-manbaby-meltdown to support one of the best @StaySickGRAVER
a well-deserved support (and support of wanting them to fuck off) of all :~) pic.twitter.com/85O027qP0H— ziggy (@ziggyhaim) October 8, 2019
It adds: “did not consent to the use of his name or image”
From there, it’s a basic intellectual property dispute. Cornette claims that Graver, Indy Connection, and, by extension, Shopify were making money off of him by using his image on the shirt. He wasn’t properly compensated for this, his trademark was diluted, etc.
