Problem With Survivor Series, SmackDown Superstar Frustrated, Hope For RETRIBUTION, Raw Turning The Corner

Is it just me or does Survivor Series feel underwhelming this year?

Survivor Series 2020 has several things going against it. Obviously the biggest issue is the fact there will not be live fans in attendance, something we have had to deal with for over eight months. I do not enjoy the Raw vs. SmackDown concept, especially this soon after the 2020 WWE Draft. WWE will look to sell the show on the tribute to The Undertaker, which will feature appearances by Kane, The Godfather, Savio Vega and Kurt Angle. WWE needs to revisit the concept of the show and while some Raw vs. SmackDown elimination matches are fine, the show needs some titles on the line to spark interest.

Given the way Zelina Vega was released from WWE, can we expect her husband Aleister Black to get put through a table each week?

Weekly table spots would probably be an upgrade form Aleister Black at this point. He is frustrated with his position on the main roster since returning from an injury angle over the summer. Prior to Vega being released from WWE, Black attempted to return to NXT. The request was denied. Several workers who were top stars in NXT but have failed to translate to the main roster have tried to go back. It has not always worked out and Black is on the lonely road to nowhere. As for Lana, she did another table spot last night on Raw after her husband debuted for AEW and told Vince McMahon to kiss his ass on Dynamite.

Is Retribution’s win on Raw a sign of hope for fans of the faction?

I was surprised Retribution got a win on Raw and WWE followed it up with an angle on Twitter Tuesday morning where the faction “took over” the company’s main Twitter account. The only thing it showed me was the faction is not over yet. Retribution flopped and has several talented workers stuck in a frigid angle.

Did Raw turn the corner with a solid go-home to Survivor Series show?

This week’s Raw was one of the best episodes in months. We got an outstanding main event that featured a title change, entertaining stuff between Bray Wyatt and The Miz and solid build to a pay-per-view I’m just not sold on in Survivor Series. I am hopeful WWE can use the momentum to finish out the year strong. Raw has been difficult to watch lately and this week’s show was a step in the right direction.
