It has been rather noticeable that Velveteen Dream has been absent from NXT programming since cutting the controversial promo against Roderick Strong (Seen above). Brad Shepard posted the following on the 19th:
According to a source in #WWE, @VelveteenWWE had a setback in his recovery. His initial timeframe was the end of November, but he’s now listed as January 6th, for what should be an evaluation date. #WWENXT

Hopefully this is just a minor setback and he will be able to return sooner, rather than later.
