Why WWE Split Up The IIconics, When Jeff Hardy’s Contract Ends, Upcoming WWE PPVs, Recent WWE Departure

Why did WWE split up The IIconics?

WWE split up The IIconics on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw because there are plans for Peyton Royce to receive a singles push. I do not know if the same awaits Billie Kay but she’s not leaving the company. It is possible Kay gets moved to SmackDown but the immediate plan is to push Royce in singles competition.

Will Jeff Hardy remain with WWE when his contract comes up?

Matt and Jeff Hardy signed their WWE contracts together in 2017. The deals were for three years and Matt left after his contact expired in March. Jeff remains under contract because he had time added on due to injuries and personal time off. It’s believed Jeff’s WWE deal is up around September next year. As to what he does at that point remains anyone’s guess. We will see what happens when it happens and what offers are available to him at the time.

We know WWE has a pay-per-view coming up in Clash of Champions later this month. What other shows can be expect?

Everything is very tentative right now as WWE is running shows in the middle of a pandemic. What we do know is Clash of Champions is the final pay-per-view scheduled for the ThunderDome at Amway Center. There are pay-per-views on the calendar with Hell in a Cell on Nov. 1, Survivor Series on Nov. 22 and WWE TLC on Dec. 20. Further details about where those events will take place will be released when available. There is an NXT TakeOver scheduled on October 4, 2020.

Is there anything more to Mauro Ranallo’s WWE departure?

From what I can ascertain, Mauro went home to deal with a family issue and decided he no longer wanted the weekly WWE commitment. There is no heat on him and the split was amicable. He will continue duties outside of WWE and will focus on mental health awareness. Mauro is a talented guy and I certainly wish him well.
