Gran Metalik won a Fatal 4-Way match on this week’s SmackDown to become the No. 1 contender to the WWE Intercontinental Championship. He will face AJ Styles for the title on next week’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.
The match involved Metalik, his tag team partner Lince Dorado, Shorty G and Drew Gulak. The finish saw Metalik hit a flying elbow off the top rope and pin Shorty G for the three count. Styles was on commentary for the bout.
Afterwards, Styles slapped Metalik. He was slapped back and taken out to set things up for next week. We have complete WWE Friday Night SmackDown results online at this link.
