Privacy Policy
The short version
We collect very little. If you sign up for The Bell, we keep your email address so we can send it. We do not sell your information. You can unsubscribe in one click.
Who we are
WrestlingNews.com, at https://wrestlingnews.com/, is run by WrestlingNews.com, 15621 West 87th St. Pkwy, PMB 344, Lenexa, KS 66219. Questions about privacy: write to hello@wrestlingnews.com or see the Contact page.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you sign up for The Bell. We also keep the date and time you signed up, the date and time you confirmed, and a record that you confirmed. To stop fake and automated signups we keep a scrambled code made from your IP address, never the address itself, and the page you signed up from (the page address only).
- What you tell us when you write to us: your email address, your message and anything you attach.
- If you use the Send a tip form: what you type in it. A name and an email address are saved only if you give them and do not tick "Keep me anonymous". If you tick it, none is saved. We do not save your IP address with a tip. To stop spam, the form keeps a scrambled code of your connection for about an hour. Tips are saved in a private folder and sent to our tips mailbox.
- Basic technical information that a web server records when you visit: the page requested, the date and time, and the type of browser and device.
- Your choices on the site, such as the promotion filter you picked and whether the spoiler shield is on. These are saved on your own device so the site can remember them. They are not sent to us.
- The site has no analytics and no tracking tools built in. It has marked spaces where ads could go later, but no ad service is connected.
Why we use it
- To send The Bell and, where you asked, only The Bell.
- To confirm your signup and to stop fake or automated signups.
- To answer your messages and fix mistakes.
- To keep the site working and secure.
Double opt-in
When you sign up, we send one email with a link. Your address is added to our list only after you click that link. If you do not click, we do not send you The Bell. The link works for 48 hours. An address that is never confirmed gets no weekly email, and our team can delete it at any time.
Who sees it
Only our team and the mail system of our web host see your address. Visitors to the site can never see anyone's email address. We do not sell your information or hand your list to advertisers.
How long we keep it
We keep your address while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we stop sending. We keep your address on a do-not-email list so that we never email you again by mistake. Ask us and we will delete it completely. Messages you send us are kept for as long as needed to answer them and to keep a record of corrections.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email.
- Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to fix it or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@wrestlingnews.com.
- Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under local law.
Cookies and similar tools
We do not set cookies. The only things stored in your browser are your saved filter and spoiler choices, and, for a moment after you sign up, the address you typed so the next page can show it back to you.
Children
WrestlingNews.com is not meant for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
Links to other sites
Our stories link to other sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Security
We keep the subscriber list outside the public part of the site and limit who can reach it. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise it. The list is kept in a private folder that visitors cannot open, and no page ever shows anyone's address.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page. For a big change, we will say so on the site.
