Announced on WWE Backstage by Ryan Satin, former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is close to finalizing a deal with WWE.
No word on when he is supposed to officially appear on television, but Satin mentioned he could appear on WWE Friday Night SmackDown on March 20. This would be a major acquisition for WWE as “Gronk” was a major star in the NFL and a big WWE fan.
This certainly wouldn’t be the first time WWE fans have heard Gronk’s name, as he showed up in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 33 to help his friend Mojo Rawley win the trophy.
