NJPW announced the full card on Nov. 6 for Tanahashi Jam 2, an event produced by NJPW president Hiroshi Tanahashi, on Thursday, Nov. 19, at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. NJPW's notice, which is in Japanese, says the show will be broadcast live exclusively on CS TV Asahi Channel. General ticket sales start Sunday, Nov. 8. The summary below is our own translation and reading of NJPW's page.
The card
- Shion Obata (pro debut) vs. Boltin Oleg
- Shota Umino vs. Axe Wang (NJPW debut)
- Eight-man tag: Goto Revolution Army (Hirooki Goto, Yoshi-Hashi, Yoh and Tatsuya Matsumoto) vs. Justice Taguchi Japan (Ryusuke Taguchi, Yuji Nagata, Satoshi Kojima and Togi Makabe)
- Monster Ranbo, a one-minute-interval battle royal. NJPW says the entrants will be named on the day.
- Eight-man tag: Tatsumi Fujinami, Yuya Uemura, Aaron Wolf and Kaisei Takechi vs. House of Torture (Ren Narita, Sanada, Yujiro Takahashi and Yoshinobu Kanemaru)
- NJPW World TV Championship: Shun Skywalker (c) vs. Toru Yano. It is Skywalker's first defense.
- Six-man tag: Zack Sabre Jr., Kosei Fujita and Takeshi Masada vs. Ryohei Oiwa, Hartley Jackson and Kaito Kiyomiya
Why it stands out
The main event mixes companies. Sabre and Fujita work with DDT's Masada against Oiwa and Jackson of NJPW's own TMDK group, who team with NOAH's Kiyomiya. Tanahashi said in NJPW's notice that TMDK has been so strong that he decided to split its members across two teams.
Two debuts. Wang, who is from Taiwan, trained at NJPW's Noge dojo after PUZZLE Pro Wrestling, per NJPW. NJPW lists his debut as March 2016 and says he announced the NJPW training in July, after his 10th anniversary show. Obata, from Miyagi, has an amateur background: NJPW says he won the All Japan Collegiate Greco-Roman title twice and finished runner-up at the All Japan Championships four years in a row.
The TV title match. Skywalker won the title from Konosuke Takeshita at Destruction in Kobe on Sept. 27. NJPW says Yano has since beaten him in a multi-man match.
What to watch
The Monster Ranbo entrants, and whether a U.S. stream is offered. NJPW's notice names only the Japanese broadcaster. The event is the second Tanahashi Jam. The first was held June 29, 2025, in Aichi, per NJPW.
