Former Superstars In Talks For Return To NXT

Dave Meltzer is reporting that WWE officials have had talks with Enzo Amore and Big Cass about a potential return to NXT as top stars.

While it is unknown whether or not the duo has accepted any offer, Meltzer is speculating that they could be making their return on the USA Network debut episode on September 18, although they could be held off until the October 2 episode to boost ratings against that night’s debut episode of AEW on TNT.

The duo recently began making appearances for indie promotions using the names nZo and CaZXL as the team FreeAgentZ, with their most notable appearance being at ROH-NJPW G1 Supercard on April 6, where they made a post-match attack on The Briscoes and Guerrillas Of Destiny.

Amore was released by WWE on January 23, 2018 after sexual allegations were made against him, although he has a well-reported history of backstage problems. Cass was released by WWE on June 18, 2018 due to reported behavioral issues.
