There was an alternative finish discussed for the Seth Rollins vs. Bray Wyatt Universal Championship match at WWE Hell in a Cell, according to Dave Meltzer.
The plan would have been for Wyatt to take a gimmicked bump off the top of the cage and been rendered unable to continue, with the referee stopping the match. Wyatt would then get up after the match was stopped, pop up like The Undertaker and give Rollins the mandible claw.
It’s unknown why WWE went the route they did, however, the finish drew very negative reviews across the board.
