Backstage News On FOX & USA Network Involvement In 2019 WWE Draft

WWE worked closely with FOX and the USA Network during the weeks leading up to the 2019 WWE Draft, according to PWInsider.com.

While it’s unknown how legitimate the above video is, WWE wanted to make both FOX and USA happy with the Superstars they were getting on their respective shows. Executives were consulted from both networks, with WWE making the final decisions on picks. WWE tried hard to keep Draft plans under wraps, until the website blunder that spoiled the actual picks.

Paul Heyman wanted Aleister Black on RAW and wanted “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt to stay. FOX officials wanted Charlotte Flair and Roman Reigns to remain on the SmackDown. Black will be eligible to go to RAW on Monday but Wyatt of course was drafted to the blue brand. Flair and Reigns are staying put.

Following this year’s Draft, WWE will be working to keep rosters as separate as much as possible.
