There was apparently talk of bringing Kofi Kingston back on Raw and leaving Big E on SmackDown, according to WrestleVotes.
It was pitched they would remain part of New Day with the same gear and entrance music but just on separate brands. Under the idea, Xavier Woods would serve as a manager for each and appear on both brands.
The idea was pitched but was turned down.
WWE is currently in the process of pushing Big E as a singles Superstar. It is something they have wanted to do for quite some time but have not had the opportunity with the success of New Day.
Xavier Woods remains out with an Achilles injury, while Kofi is out with an undisclosed injury.
