Miroslav Barnyashev, better known as Rusev, continues to recover from surgery and has received numerous offers for a return to the ring once he is healthy.
Barnyashev continues to tell promoters that he will likely be retiring, although very few believe that will ultimately be the case.
The most interested party continues to be Impact Wrestling. An Impact Wrestling employee familiar with the creative plans of the company told WrestlingNews.com that Barnyashev remains the top priority free agent signing for the company.
Not only has Impact Wrestling offered Barnyashev a six figure guarantee for far fewer dates than he was working for WWE, but he has been promised a run as champion as well.
Barnyashev has been vocal about the fact that he invested his money well and doesn’t need to wrestle anymore. At 35 though, most assume he will return at some point and WrestlingNews.com will continue to follow this story.
