Former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Jay White is scheduled to return to New Japan Pro Wrestling on this Friday’s episode of NJPW Strong.
The announcement was made during this week’s NJPW Finish Strong video, which we have included in the player above. His opponent has not yet been announced.
White has not competed since February 22, 2020 at the NJPW Manabu Nakanishi Retirement Event where he teamed with Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga and Tama Loa to beat David Finlay, Juice Robinson, Togi Makabe and Tomoaki Honma in an eight-person tag match.
This week’s NJPW Strong will also feature the finals of the New Japan Cup USA. KENTA will face David Finlay, who were successful on last week’s show. The winner will become the No. 1 contender to the IWGP United States Championship, which is currently held by Jon Moxley.
