With the field basically wide open for surprises in this year’s 30-woman Royal Rumble match, there continues to be talk of who could return to action on Sunday.
Naomi is reportedly scheduled to be in Houston for a surprise appearance after being on hiatus for various reasons since July. She’s expected to join The Usos on SmackDown upon her return.
Nia Jax is also rumored to be in Houston after undergoing double knee surgery in April. Jax has been training at the WWE Performance Center as of late.
Another name spotted at the Performance Center recently is Ruby Riott, who has been out of action since May following double shoulder surgery. Riott was rumored to return later this year, though she may be on track to return early. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but she’s expected to be in Houston.
Only five names have been confirmed for the women’s Rumble so far: Charlotte Flair, Sarah Logan, Alexa Bliss, Nikki Cross and Natalya. Expect the rest of the Raw and SmackDown roster to fill out the field, as well as surprise NXT appearances.
