Several NXT Stars Injured, Recent Signee Set For Surgery

WWE has announced that three NXT superstars were injured coming out of the brand’s live debut on the USA Network on Wednesday:

– Kona Reeves received five stitches to his face after suffering an orbital injury that occurred in a pre-show dark match against Damian Priest.

– Arturo Ruas suffered finger injuries while competing against Pete Dunne during the second hour that aired on the WWE Network.

– Velveteen Dream suffered a lumbar injury during his North American Title match against Roderick Strong. He was seen walking gingerly afterwards on Full Sail’s campus.

ProWrestlingSheet.com confirmed exclusively that Joaquin Wilde (f.k.a. DJZ) has been out of action since July with a broken eye socket, which is said to have occurred during a “freak accident” while training.

Wilde will undergo surgery soon after weeks of waiting to see if the injury would heal on its own.
