1993 – At a WCW Saturday Night taping in Atlanta, GA, Dustin Rhodes defeated Ravishing Rick Rude to win the NWA/WCW United States Championship. Due to this, Rhodes would be recognized as the official WCW United States Champion a month later after breaking away from NWA.
2007 – In a black eye for WWE, the New York Daily News released an article naming several Superstars that were found to have bought performance enhancing drugs from Signature Pharmacy and other online prescription services. WWE suspended the superstars involved the day before the stories broke from ESPN and Sports Illustrated as well.
