Tony Schiavone To Miss All Out – Big Update On AEW’s Commentary Team

The commentary team for All Elite Wrestling’s “All Out” pay-per-view will be comprised of Jim Ross, Excalibur and Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez, according to Dave Meltzer.

Tony Schiavone will not immediately join the commentary team, despite AEW issuing a press release that read: “Schiavone joins AEW’s television broadcast team of Jim Ross and Excalibur.” He won’t even be at the pay-per-view due to the fact he’ll be doing play-by-play for a University of Georgia football game on Saturday.

Goldenboy will replace Alex Marvez, who will likely still do backstage and studio segments, possibly as a backstage interviewer. For now, Schiavone will also likely do backstage and studio segments and may join the commentary team every now and then.

In addition to college football, Schiavone will still be doing play-by-play for Major League Wrestling, the University of Georgia baseball team and more. All of his extra gigs could cause scheduling conflicts on Wednesday nights.

Meltzer noted AEW is still trying to figure things out with their announce team, so things are still subject to change.
