WWE Changes Plans For Tonight’s SmackDown

WWE is changing around their plans for tonight’s SmackDown again following an outbreak of positive COVID-19 cases within the company.

There’s said to have been dozens of positive cases that have emerged in the last week, but that number has yet to be confirmed. On-air personalities Renee Young and Kayla Braxton, plus producers Adam Pearce and Jamie Noble are the only employees so far to confirm their cases.

Tonight’s SmackDown is being taped this afternoon, but there are reports that state the show has gone through several rewrites as the company works around those who are out of action.

The only item listed on dot com’s preview is WWE will pay tribute to The Undertaker by airing the Boneyard Match from WrestleMania 36. AJ Styles was originally scheduled to defend the Intercontinental Championship against Drew Gulak tonight, but that may have been scrapped.

Stay tuned for the latest developments.
