WWE Reveals New Commentary Teams For Raw & SmackDown

WWE has officially announced new commentary teams for Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown ahead of “Premiere Week” starting on Sept. 30th.

Raw will be called by Vic Joseph with Dio Maddin and Jerry “The King” Lawler providing color commentary.

NXT will continue to be announced by Mauro Ranallo, Beth Phoenix and Nigel McGuiness. It was also confirmed in the press release that next week’s show will include Johnny Gargano vs. Shane Thorne.

Friday Night SmackDown will feature Michael Cole on play-by-play with Corey Graves as the analyst and Renee Young serving as a “special contributor.”

As noted earlier, Young and Booker T will host “WWE Backstage” on FS1 starting in November.

There’s no word yet on the status of Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton who previously called SmackDown.
