AEW Dynamite Results – 7/29/2020

Orange Cassidy, Best Friends & Jurassic Express def. The Inner Circle when Luchasaurus pinned Sammy Guevara. This match was all over the place with commentators questioning if referee Aubrey Edwards had control over the competition.

Backstage, Jon Moxley cut a promo on Brian Cage and Ricky Starks. He’s ready to take them on tonight.

TNT Championship Match: Cody (c) def. Warhorse via submission to retain. Dark Order attacked Cody after the match until Matt Cardona, the former Zack Ryder, made the save.

The Inner Circle interrupts Tony Schiavone plugging All Out for September 5th. Jericho wants to debate Orange Cassidy next week before they have a rematch in two weeks.

FTR officially sign their AEW contracts with Arn Anderson advising them. Tag Team Appreciation Night will take place on August 12th. Tony Khan has tweeted that they have signed multi-year contracts.

AEW Tag Team Championship Match: Kenny Omega & Hangman Page (c) def. Dark Order (Stu Grayson & Evil Uno) when Page pinned Uno to retain. The Young Bucks & FTR made the save when other members of Dark Order attacked after the match.

In the crowd, Britt Baker reveals Big Swole will compete in the women’s tag tournament. Baker also says Swole can face her if Swole beats an opponent of Baker’s choosing.

Hikaru Shida def. Diamante via pinfall with a knee strike.

Ariane Andrew, f.k.a. Cameron in WWE, is revealed to be Nyla Rose’s partner in the Deadly Draw tournament despite it being announced that teams will be drawn at random this Monday on YouTube.

MJF cut a passionate promo making it known that he wants to challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at All Out.

No DQ Tornado Tag Match: Darby Allin & Jon Moxley def. Ricky Starks & Brian Cage in the main event. The finish saw Allin hit a stomp on Starks using a skateboard with thumbtacks for the three-count.
