AEW, WWE & Impact Wrestling Interested In Signing Davey Boy Smith Jr

WWE is always looking to sign more talented wrestlers to their already-deep roster. It helps if they gained more experience elsewhere and that is exactly what Davey Boy Smith Jr did. He previously worked in WWE as part of The Hart Dynasty stable several years ago and it seems he might be returning to the company.

According to a report by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Davey Boy Smith Jr and Court Bauer’s relationship is apparently “fine.” His current MLW contract will expire on December 18th. After that, it is likely several professional wrestling promotions in North America will want to sign him.

He was at Chris Jericho’s Halloween party this past week and spoke to Tony Khan but they aren’t talking any business until after his MLW deal is up. He’s had interest from WWE, Khan expressed interest, and there is interest from All Japan, Impact and MLW and has no favorite or leaning past saying this decision will be made based on offer and whatever makes the most sense business-wise.

Smith was scheduled to compete in All Japan at the Champion Carnival tournament, but those plans were scrapped due to COVID-19.
