Backstage Update On Plans For AEW Fyter Fest

As noted last night, AEW Fyter Fest will air as a two-night special in place of Dynamite on July 1st and July 8th.

In an update, The Wrestling Observer reports that the show will be taped on July 1st and July 2nd. Night 1 is expected to air live, while Night 2 will be obviously be pre-taped.

Additionally, booking plans for the event have pretty much been laid out and it will be treated like a pay-per-view. All titles are expected to be defended and match times will likely be longer.

It’s being speculated that these types of periodical specials could air in between the four major pay-per-views more often. AEW’s next pay-per-view will be All Out on September 5th.

Below is the current card for Fyter Fest:

AEW World Championship Match
– Jon Moxley (c) vs. Brian Cage

AEW Tag Team Championship Match
– Kenny Omega & Hangman Page (c) vs. Best Friends
