Big Survivor Series Changes, Why Orton Dropped Title, Best Show I’ve Attended, Historic Reign Coming?

Why were Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke removed from the women’s Survivor Series elimination match?

Mandy Rose was injured on last week’s Raw after Nia Jax threw her out of the ring, causing her to land awkwardly on her shoulder. The stuff on this week’s show was done to write her out of the match. You can watch a clip of the injury from last week at this link. Rose and Brooke were replaced by Peyton Royce and Lacey Evans.

Does Randy Orton dropping the WWE Championship on Raw clear the way for a WrestleMania 37 program with Edge?

From what I understand WWE took the title off Randy Orton so they could have a traditional heel vs. babyface match at Survivor Series. That seems silly but so does the idea of having a pay-per-view comprised of SmackDown vs. Raw this close to the 2020 WWE Draft. There is still a lot of interest in doing Orton vs. Edge at WrestleMania 37 next year but another name that has emerged lately is “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt vs. Edge. We are still several months out but programs for WrestleMania will start to become known in January.

What’s the best wrestling show you have ever attended in person?

I attended several WCW live events and Nitro tapings at the height of the nWo era in the 90’s as a kid. Those were always memorable as you never knew what Scott Hall and Kevin Nash were going to do. I attended WWE No Way Out 2008 in Las Vegas that featured The Undertaker, Ric Flair, John Cena and Triple H on the card. Floyd Mayweather and Big Show kicked off their WrestleMania program at that show. I was in attendance at WWE Vengeance 2006 that featured the return of D-Generation X. I have still not attended a WrestleMania as I have even had tickets but ultimately ended up covering the show from hone.

Do you think Randy Orton gets 17 world title wins before he retires?

Randy Orton has three to go and seems to be at the peak of his career now, which is hard to believe considering how long he has been a top guy. It seems likely as Orton is only 40-years-old and is in great physical condition. However, Vince McMahon will have the final say as to whether or not Orton passes John Cena and Ric Flair at 16 title reigns.
