Impact Wrestling Results & Reactions – 8/4/2020

TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match: Moose (c) def. Heath via pinfall to retain. The back-and-forth action resulted in Heath nailing Moose with his Wake-up Call finisher as the ref was knocked out. Heath covered, but to no avail. Moose nailed a low-blow and covered for the three.

Emergence will air on Aug. 18th & 25th with Jordynne Grace vs. Deonna Purrazzo headlining the Aug. 25th episode.

In a new vignette, EC3 says he has arrived to reclaim the TNA World Title and burn its legacy to the ground. Moose has been warned.

The Motor City Machine Guns sit down in the ring with Jimmy Jacobs. They discuss their time apart from each other and how they reconnected when Sabin rehabbed his injuries. The North interrupt and declare that they will take their titles back in a rematch at Emergence.

Kimber Lee enters Deonna Purrazzo’s dressing room and offers to take out Jordynne Grace in trade for a Knockouts Title match. Deonna accepts.

We return to Wrestle House. Taya Valkyrie talks about being stuck in the house. Kylie Rae confronts John E. Bravo about him being their way out.

Alisha Edwards & Susie def. Johnny Swinger in a Wrestle House handicap match with Cody Deaner as the ref.

Flashback Moment of the Week highlights Sami Callihan winning the Impact World Title in a steel cage match last year.

The Good Brothers are walking in the parking lot and find their vehicle has been broken in to as there are alcohol containers on the ground. The authorities confront them, as do Ace Austin and Madman Fulton. Gallows gets taken into custody.

A new vignette for Brian Myers airs.

Impact World Championship Match: Eddie Edwards (c) def. Sami Callihan via pinfall to retain. Before the bell, Rob Van Dam attacked Callihan on the stage. He answered the challenge anyway, going on to have a lengthy battle to renew their rivalry. Eddie retained with the Boston Knee Party. Eddie going over a former rival like Callihan is a great way to further solidify him as a main-eventer.

Back at Wrestle House, Rosemary and Taya are looking for Bravo when they find out from Kylie Rae that he left. Rosemary is mad and calls for a match.

Kylie Rae def. Rosemary with Taya Valkyrie as the referee. Bravo confronts Rosemary after the match. They are worried about Taya finding out about their brooding love.

Anderson gets off the phone and brawls with Ace & Fulton in a hallway. A tag match at Emergence is inevitable, but not yet confirmed.

Hernandez asks Reno Scum to help him get his money back, and they agree.

TJP & Fallah Bahh def. Chris Bey & Rohit Raju when TJP tapped out Bey. Look for TJP vs. Bey to continue, likely culminating in a title match at Emergence.

Rich Swann comes out to the ring on crutches for an announcement. He talks about rehabbing his injury since January, and then returning at Slammiversary only to get hurt again at the hands of Eric Young. Swann says he’s going to have to retire. The babyfaces of the locker room come out to show their support and help him out of the ring. Once he reaches the stage, Eric Young attacks and strikes the injured leg with a crutch before running off.
