Kairi Sane has received quite the send-off from WWE.
Sane, who finished up with WWE on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, was written off TV after being beat up by Bayley. This caused Asuka to leave her Raw Women’s Championship match and get counted out in the process.
After the segment aired she released a statement on social media. WWE followed that with this statement:
“Kairi Sane bids farewell to the WWE Universe
Following Monday Night Raw, Kairi Sane took to Twitter to thank her fellow Superstars, WWE staff and the WWE Universe for their support as she prepares to leave WWE.
Sane joined WWE in 2017, winning the inaugural Mae Young Classic. Along with the hearts of the WWE Universe, she would go on to capture the NXT Women’s Championship and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Asuka.
Sane’s fellow Superstars responded in kind on social media.
WWE sends its best wishes to Kairi Sane as she sets sail on her next voyage!”
Sane will return to Japan to be with her husband who she married earlier this year. While she is leaving WWE, it is said she will remain in the ‘WWE family’ with the two sides open to working together again. On Wednesday, Triple H weighed in on the love:
“A truly unique young woman with the ability to capture hearts, minds (and pirate ships!!!) Proud of @KairiSaneWWE’s growth as a performer and her time spent with #WWENXT and @WWE,” Triple H tweeted.
