NJPW KOPW 2020 Match Stipulations Announced

New Japan Pro Wrestling has closed the social media voting for the KOPW 2020 match stipulations.

For Kazuchika Okada vs Yujiro Takahashi, Okata received 31,961 votes (56%) for his 1 vs 3 Handicap Match stipulation over Yujiro’s 25,113 votes (44%) for a Lumberjack With Leather Belts Deathmatch.

Toru Yano vs. BUSHI will be a Two Count Pinfall match. The stipulation was selected by Yano and received 31,499 votes (57.2%) to BUSHI’s stipulation of a Five Count Ringouts match, which received 23,531 votes (42.8%).

Satoshi Kojima vs. El Desperado will be a No Finishers Allowed match, receiving 42,000 votes (68.5%) over Kojima’s stipulation of a Finishers Only match 19,586 votes (31.5%).

These bouts, in addtiion to SANADA vs. SHO in a submission match, will take place on Wednesday from Korakuen Hall. The winners will face one another in a four-way match at NJPW Summer Struggle in Jingu on August 29. The winner of that bout will be declared “King of Pro Wrestling Champion.”
