The Interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion will be crowned next week.
Drake Maverick continued his winning ways by pulling out the victory over Jake Atlas and Kushida on this week’s NXT to advance to the finals of the cruiserweight tournament.
As a result, Maverick will now face El Hijo del Fantasma on the June 3rd episode to crown the Interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion.
Next week’s show will also feature Mia Yim vs. Candice LeRae, plus a “Prime Target” look at the top matches for TakeOver: In Your House.
