Randy Orton will challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at Clash of Champions on Sunday, September 27, 2020.
The number one contender was determined in a triple-threat match main event on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. There were qualifying bouts leading up to the match, where participants had to win their respective singles match to enter the triple threat. It ended up being Keith Lee vs. Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins, with Orton going over.
As for McIntyre, the storyline update on him is he suffered a “hairline jaw fracture” last week as the result of Orton’s punts to his head. He did not suffer what they were “fearing” as a skull fracture or brain bleed. McIntyre will be able to defend the title at the pay-per-view.
WWE Clash of Champions will take place from the ThunderDome at Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. We’ll have live coverage here at WrestlingNews.com.
