Welcome to our live coverage of WWE Monday Night Raw. Here you will find live results of the broadcast that aired on the USA Network on Monday, August 17, 2020. This week’s show will feature Natalya vs. Mickie James, Shawn Michaels to respond to Randy Orton, a possible Rey Mysterio return and of course Raw Underground. This week’s WWE Raw is the final show of the red brand before Sunday’s SummerSlam pay-per-view. It will also be the final Raw from the Performance Center, as WWE is moving TV operations to the Amway Center where they will debut the new ThunderDome viewing experience.

The show opened with more technical difficulties, of course attributed to Retribution. Tonight, Rey Mysterio may appear, Asuka will team with Shayna Baszler to face Bayley and Sasha Banks. Shawn Michaels is confirmed to appear as well.

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre came out. McIntyre said what Orton did to Ric Flair last week was evil. As he spoke, more technical difficulties ensued, including random clips and graphics appearing on the screen. McIntyre continued on, not realizing what was going on. The promo concluded with McIntyre telling Orton he is not facing a defenseless old man but a pissed off, 6’5″ fire-breathing dragon.

A cameraman is shown at the production truck where Retribution are interrupting the show. He told one of the males to shut it off. The guy pushed a button and everything went dark, which resulted in a commercial break.

Backstage, McIntyre walked up to the Viking Raiders, Titus O’Neil, Mustafa Ali, Cedric Alexander, Ricochet, Riddick Moss, Humberto Carrillo and Akira Tozawa, who were all talking about what jus happened. O’Neil asked McIntyre about Flair, who said he would be fine. McIntyre is tired of Retribution. Seth Rollins showed up and questioned the WWE Champion’s leadership. Ricochet told Rollins he is going to get a receipt for what he did to Dominik Mysterio. Murphy kept McIntyre from attacking Rollins.

The Hurt Business came out and MVP delivered another promo on WWE United States Champion Apollo Crews. Crews interrupted and proposed an offer. If he can beat Benjamin tonight on Raw, MVP cannot have him and Bobby Lashley at ringside on Sunday. MVP sent Benjamin and Lashley after him as the show went to break.

WWE United States Champion Apollo Crews vs. Shelton Benjamin w/The Hurt Business in a non-title match. A couple minutes in R-Truth ran through trying to escape Tozawa and his ninjas, Benjamin even threw one out of the ring. This allowed Crews to hit him with a jackknife and get the pinfall win. Winner, Apollo Crews.

After the match, The Hurt Business attacked Crews. Ali, Ricochet and Alexander made the save. Lashley locked Alexander in the full-nelson, which Tom Phillips called the Full Lashley. All of the babyfaces fought to get him off.

R-Truth ran back down and pinned him to win the WWE 24/7 Championship. MVP challenged the babyfaces to a six-man elimination match later tonight.

Backstage, Angel Garza flirted with Demi Burnett from The Bachelor. Ivar came in and gave her a turkey leg. Garza said he would beat Ivar in their match. On announce, Tom Phillips plugged the WWE ThunderDome.

Angel Garza w/Zelina Vega & Andrade vs. Ivar w/Erik. Ivar went for a dive but Vega was in his path. Ivar came him and Garza kicked him in the head. He hit a dropkick and pinned him for the win. Winner, Angel Garza

After the match, Angelo Dawkins appeared on the screen with Burnett. He questioned Garza’s attire and joked about his involvement with Charly Caruso.

Angel Garza ran to the back. Samoa Joe talked about a video he heard about that is going to make things interesting. Vega demanded to know more about this. Joe claimed WWE security found something interesting with Garza after going through countless hours of footage.

Backstage, Dawkins asked Burnett for her number. Garza burst in along with Vega and Andrade. They all went for his phone. Charly came in and asked what was going on . Dawkins told them to play the footage. The footage appeared to show Vega poisoning the drink of Montez Ford. She blamed Caruso. Dawkins shouted at her, as Ford came in and attacked Garza and Andrade.

Mickie James vs. Natalya w/Lana. A couple minutes in, Seth Rollins and Murphy came out to confront Samoa Joe. Rollins wanted to know how Joe knew Rey Mysterio would be here tonight. Meanwhile, Natlaya shoved James off the top rope and she was counted out. Winner by count out, Natlaya

After the match, Rollins screamed at Joe. If Mysterio and Dominik show up it will be the last mistake either one of the makes and neither will make it to SummerSlam on Sunday.

Bayley and Sasha Banks came out and called Asuka stupid for taking them both on at SummerSlam. They pretend to argue over who should beat her first. Shayna Baszler came out and said she wanted whoever the Raw Women’s Champion was after SummerSlam.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bayley & Sasha Banks vs. Asuka & Shayna Baszler in a non-title match. Shortly after the match started, Nia Jax came out of the audience and attacked Baszler. Pat Buck and other officials came out. Baszler attacked her and a brawl ensued. Asuka knocked her opponents off the apron and the show went to break. Back from break, Bayley and Banks were in control. Banks hit a nice backstabber on Baszler and Bayley followed it with a Bayley-to-belly for a near-fall. Baszler hit Bayley with a gut-wrench slam, knee strike and the Kirifuda clutch in a counter. Banks broke it up. Asuka attacked Banks on the outside and locked in the Asuka Lock. Meanwhile, Baszler made Bayley tap in the Kirifuda clutch. Winners, Asuka and Shayna Baszler

Backstage, Apollo Crews thanked Ali, Alexander and Ricochet for helping him tonight. Ricochet and Ali will team with him tonight. Alexander wanted chosen but Crews thought he needed a break after the full nelson.

After Crews and company walked off, Randy Orton came in and didn’t say anything. In another area, Shawn Michaels approached Drew McIntyre. McIntyre was worried he let Shawn down because of everything Orton has done to Edge, Christian, Big Show and now Flair under his watch. HBK assured him that is not the case. He has earned his spot. But Shawn has a favor to ask, give him his space when he goes to the ring to address Orton.

The IIconics mocked Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan. Billie Kay claims her shoulder is hurt so Peyton Royce is taking her place tonight against Riott. Royce said she would do anything for her friend. She called Morgan trash, Ruby wanted to retaliate but Morgan held her back.

The IIconics saw Baszler speaking with Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke. . WWE aired a video package for Retribution.

Ruby Riott w/Liv Morgan vs. Peyton Royce w/Billie Kay. Ruby and Morgan argued with Kay outside of the ring. Royce pushed Ruby into Morgan and slid Ruby back into the ring. She gave her a spinning brainbuster and pinned her for the win. Winner, Peyton Royce

Erik beat an unknown competitor on Raw Underground with Dolph Ziggler watching with Shane McMahon. Ziggler told him he got a four out of 10. Erik invited him in. Ziggler locked in a headlock and poked him in the eye. Erik passed out and Ziggler won. Ivar attacked Ziggler. Shane asked if everyone was okay.

Rey Mysterio came out with his son Dominik. Rey had an eye-patch over his right eye. Rey expressed pain and rage aimed at Seth Rollins. It should have been him taking that beating, not Dominik. Rey announced he’ll be in his son’s corner at SummerSlam. Dominik ensures he’ll be ready. Seth Rollins and Murphy on the big screen. Rollins chastised Rey for putting his son in this position. Rollins and Murphy came out. Dominik grabbed a couple kendo sticks. Dominik attacked and gave a stick to Mysterio. They both attacked Rollins but Murphy got in the way, which allowed for Rollins to escape.

Backstage, MVP told Alexander he understood his frustration. He said it has happened on his own but not because of his own friends. MVP said Crews must see him as the weak link.

Arturo Ruas and Riddick Moss ended when Ruas had a knee-bar on his opponent but Moss rolled to the outside. Shane McMahon broke up the fight.

Bobby Lashley, MVP and Shelton Benjamin vs. WWE United States Champion Apollo Crews, Ricochet and Mustafa Ali. Lashley eliminated Ali via pinfall, Benjamin eliminated Ricochet via pinfall shortly thereafter after hitting Paydirt. Crews eliminated Benjamin. After MVP came into the ring, Alexander came out of nowhere to roll Benjamin up on the outside to win the WWE 24/7 title. Crews eliminated MVP after hitting a spinning powerbomb. Lashley attacked Crews but he fought back. Lashley had the full nelson but he slipped out, to which Lashley speared and pinned him. Winners, Lashley, MVP and Shelton Benjamin

Cedric Alexander vs. Akira Tozawa for the WWE 24/7 Championship. Alexander dismissed Tozawa with a Lumbar check. Winner and STILL WWE 24/7 Champion, Cedric Alexander As he celebrated, Shelton Benjamin came out and gave him Paydirt to win the title back. Winner and NEW WWE 24/7 Champion, Shelton Benjamin

Ivar will fight Dolph Ziggler next week on Raw Underground. Marina Shafir beat an unnamed female opponent via submission with a leglock. Nia Jax took out Shafir from behind and also kicked Duke.

Shayna Baszler jumped in and told Shane McMahon to start the match. Jax took off, kicking Shafir out of the way. Shafir went face-to-face with Baszer and Duke to end the segment.

Andrade w/Zelina Vega & Angela Garza vs. Montez Ford w/Angelo Dawkins. Bianca Belair showed up in this one and took out Zelina Vega. Ford hit a schoolboy on Andrade to get the win. Winner, Montez Ford

Shawn Michaels, wearing an NXT hat, came out. He watched last week’s Ric Flair/Randy Orton segment with tears in his eyes. He talked how hard it was being with Flair when he was on his deathbed. HBK said there will be justice at SummerSlam, be it Sweet Chin Music or a Claymore Kick. Randy Orton gave HBK the RKO out of nowhere. He also punted him. Drew McIntyre hit the ring but Orton ran off. McIntyre checked on HBK as Orton jumped back in. McIntyre fought him off and threw him into the announce table. McIntyre went back in to check on Michaels, so Orton went back in and gave him the RKO. McIntyre recovered enough to get to his feet and stare Orton down as the show went off the air.
