Ali beat Buddy Murphy and Chad Gable beat Shelton Benjamin in King of the Ring tournament matches to conclude the first round on this week’s episode episode of WWE SmackDown.
Ali will face Elias and Gable will face Andrade on next week’s SmackDown in quarterfinals bouts. On RAW, Samoa Joe vs. Ricochet and Cedric Alexander vs. Baron Corbin are set for quarterfinals matches for next week.
Next week’s winners will square off at the New York City shows (RAW 9/9 and SmackDown 9/10) to determine who will work the finals at WWE Clash of Champions on September 15, 2019.
