Two NJPW Wrestlers Cleared To Return Following Coronavirus Exposure

Yota Tsuji and Tomoaki Honma were removed from New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Sengoku Lord after being exposed to an individual who was positive for the coronavirus. NJPW issued a press release, noting that both Tsuji and Honma were tested for coronavirus and are negative.

As a result of the negative tests, both wrestlers have been cleared to return to competition for Wednesday’s non-televised event in Hamamatsu. The official release is below:

“On July 25, Yota Tsuji and Tomoaki Honma were both pulled from the Sengoku Lord in Nagoya as a precautionary measure.

Since then, both wrestlers have undertaken PCR testing and are confirmed negative for Coronavirus. They are both cleared to return to competition from Wednesday July 29’s non-televised event in Hamamatsu.
