Los Angeles, CA is one of the finalists to host Wrestlemania 37 in 2021, according to Arash Markazi. Markazi cites Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts Jr. for confirming the news.
Should Los Angeles land Wrestlemania, the event would take place at the new Inglewood stadium. The stadium, which is currently under construction, is operating under the working name of Los Angeles Stadium at Hollywood Park. It will be an open-air ETFE roof-covered stadium and will serve as the home to the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers of the NFL.
In addition to LA, WrestleVotes reports Las Vegas is also on the table. According to the report, four locations have been selected as finalists but none have been selected as the host city.
WWE allows cities to bid on hosting Wrestlemania in prepared presentations. The company then selects the city where they’ll bring the event, which has a significant impact on the host city’s economy.
Next year’s Wrestlemania 36 will take place from the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL on April 5, 2020.
