Following the return of Liv Morgan during the wedding of Lana and Lashley, Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose took to Twitter to voice their displeasure. Liv Morgan had interrupted the ceremony to object, stating that Lana was the love of her life and was betraying their love. This prompted the following responses from Deville and Rose:
Welp… my mind is blown.

Earlier this year, both Rose and Deville pitched a storyline idea to WWE involving the two in an LGBTQ situation. This was rejected and turned down despite Deville herself being a lesbian. Instead, it appears this is now being turned into storyline between Lana and Liv Morgan, both of which are neither openly bisexual or lesbians.
This is far from the first time WWE has towed the LGBTQ line. In the past, we have seen the gay marriage of Billy and Chuck and Mickie James be obsessed and in love with Trish Stratus. There have been other minor storylines in the past involving LGBTQ, but nothing as significant as those two instances.
Liv Morgan has also posted and shared the following earlier today, likely to continue storyline:

Many fans within the WWE Universe were not happy at all with the storyline:
While it’s awesome that WWE is doing a gay storyline with Liv Morgan & Lana it sucks that Sonya, someone who is openly lesbian, got her idea turned down by creative

The Fans: We want Liv Morgan to come back as this creepy chick teaming with The Fiend
WWE: Ok, let's have Liv Morgan be a Lesbian and have a past affair with Lana

There is also outcry from others involved in LGBTQ:
This is so bad. And the talent isn't at fault, it falls on the writers. Using gay for shock value perpetrates the idea that it is unusual or odd which keeps stereotypes alive. No wonder WWE struggles to find a millennial audience. https://t.co/noqUijv4xS

It’s going to be interesting to see how WWE handles this because it does not look good for their image to the LGBTQ crowd. If anything, this creates more of a mockery of LGBTQ matters and divides them.
