Several WWE Superstars Are Avoiding Unions Due To Not Wanting To ‘Rock The Boat’

Zelina Vega was released by WWE owing to a breach of contract. Following this, the discussions regarding the unionization of WWE Superstars have started again. The Screen Actors Guild recently had a discussion with Zelina Vega.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed the current progress of SAG-AFTRA talking to WWE Superstars. He revealed that the main problem is that quite a few top WWE Superstars are afraid of rocking the boat. They fear that involvement with unions will make them lose several opportunities.

He then explained how in the fields of hockey, football and basketball, those were activists had to take it on the chin in a lot of cases and it ultimately hurt their careers. However, this helped the next generation of players receive more benefits and earn more money. It was a good sacrifice that they did.

Meltzer added that “I think there are some” who want to leave the pro wrestling business in a better place.
