WWE announced on Wednesday that Wade Barrett has signed with the company again, but this time to serve as a full-time color analyst for the NXT brand on Wednesday nights. According to Sports Illustrated, Barrett has signed a one-year contract with an option to extend.

“Wade Barrett has officially signed with NXT as part of the commentary team.
The former Intercontinental Champion has been part of the announce team in recent weeks alongside Vic Joseph and Beth Phoenix.
As first reported by Sports Illustrated, Barrett will now remain an official member of the announce team. The former King of the Ring returned as a color analyst for the black-and-gold brand after several years away from WWE.

As the article notes, Barrett will now call NXT alongside Vic Joseph and Beth Phoenix following Mauro Ranallo’s recent departure. Nigel McGuinness is expected to work solely with NXT UK going forward.
